Pula
PULA … the largest city in the area. For us it is one of the ugly cities, but it also has a few beautiful sides and, above all, some sights. However, it is sometimes disturbing when you find old Roman buildings in the middle of an old high-rise settlement.
But if you really want to go shopping, then Pula offers some really great and large shopping centers such as Max City or the Pula City Mall.
Again, our tip: read the restaurant reviews on Google before you go anywhere!
Our recommendation for the parking lot:
We actually always park directly in the parking lot at the amphitheater. From here you can quickly reach the old town.

We have never eaten in Pula before and therefore have no restaurant recommendations. After we drank a coffee at horrendous prices and they wanted 17 EUR for an ice cream sundae, we preferred to go out to eat "at our place".
Nevertheless, we have an insider tip for a small snack: if you like Börek, whether filled with cheese, spinach or meat, then you should definitely stop by the "Pita House". A very small shop, in which a maximum of two people fit and the Börek is paid by weight. In May 2023 we paid a total of 8 EUR for four people, who were all full, and the Börek was awesome!
Events in Pula are best read in the official events calendar from the tourism office.
